What Is The Velocity Of 2kg Object That Has A Momentum Of 1000 Kg. M/S?

What is the velocity of 2kg object that has a momentum of 1000 kg. m/s?

Good Day...

Problem:

What is the velocity of 2kg object that has a momentum of 1000 kg. m/s?

Given data:

p (momentum) = 1000 kg. m/s

m (mass)          = 2 kg

v (velocity)        = ? unknown

Solution:

The formula of momentum is p=mv

Using this formula, we can calculate for velocity which is v = p/m

v = p/m

v = 1000 kg. m/s / 2 kg (cancel the unit kg)

v = 500 m/s

Answer:

the Velocity of an object is 500 m/s

Hope it helps.....=)
